Vic Drawdy

Victor L. Drawdy, better known as Vic by his co-workers, became a well-traveled individual early in life as the family followed his father across most of the lower United States in the construction business. Vic feels this experience helped in the development of his interpersonal relationship skills. Vic graduated from Wayne County High school where he was the captain of the football team and President of the Senior Class of 1981. This was followed by a year at Georgia Southern University where he played football as one of Erk Russell’s Fighting Eagles. While serving as Store Manager of David’s Clothing, Vic met the love of his life Lynda, making her his wife on July 7, 1984. He managed Griffin Paint Supply from 1986 to 1988 then entered the allied health field after completing the EMT-I class at Waycross College in 1988. In 1989, Vic completed the basic firefighter course, and in 1990 he earned his Paramedic certification from Savannah Technical College. In 1991 he became an EMT Instructor, Level II, and has since taught multiple EMT-I classes at Altamaha Technical College in Jesup, Georgia.

Vic maintains his certification in ACLS, BTLS, PHTLS, ITLS, AHLS, and Rescue Specialist. He serves as BLS Instructor, CERT Instructor, Crash Victim Instructor, AIRHMI Instructor, and Level II EMT Instructor. He also serves as a Sergeant in the Georgia State Defense Force.

Vic is a Wayne County native and continues to make that his home. He enjoys helping people of all ages, particularly working with the local nursing homes, the youth at his church, and the Boys & Girls Clubs.  In 2004 he became a Public Housing Manager to better assist the elderly with housing.  Currently, he is the Operations Manager of Okefenokee EMS in Wayne County and is responsible for 8 ambulances and 29 employees.

Vic is a highly-principled man of Christian character and has adopted the following as his personal mission statement: I exist to reach and care for others, equipping them with knowledge, all to honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
